Chris "Atom" DeAngelus: The LEGO franchises have always been cute and kid-friendly adventures, and LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight seems to continue that trend with the same silly humor the franchise is known for. Following a sort of amalgamation of every version of Batman from comics to movies, the title seems to be aiming to be the ultimate adventure for our LEGO hero. The most exciting piece is how much of the game appears to be inspired by the dormant Arkham series, with combat and stealth that seems like a less-violent -looking (but no less fun) version of that game. Assuming it can match the Arkham game's fun design, this has the potential to be the best-playing LEGO title yet.
Cody Medellin: It doesn't look like we'll be getting another Batman: Arkham game anytime soon, but this looks to fill in that void nicely. A big open world with equal parts emphasis on combat and detective work sounds like exactly what Batman fans are looking for after Gotham Knights didn't deliver. The humor inherent in the licensed LEGO titles looks to make this a family-friendly version of what Rocksteady usually delivers. TT Games hasn't faltered with its LEGO titles yet, and this doesn't look to break that winning streak.
Adam Pavlacka: I'll play just about any LEGO game, honestly. They're never too complicated, but they're always packed with charm, goofy humor, and satisfying fun — and LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight looks like more of exactly that. Plus, LEGO games are perfect for couch co-op, whether you're playing with friends, kids, or just embracing a little chaos together.
Rainier Van Autrijve: The LEGO games are a staple in our household, and we have played most of them to completion. It's simply irresistible with a mix of exploration, simple combat, fun puzzles, variety of characters, subtle humor, and extensive world building. The main draw is that there's something for people of all ages. Whether you want to play solo or co-op, run through the story campaign, or spend dozens of hours exploring the nooks and crannies as a completionist (you know who you are), you are guaranteed to have fun.
