Tony "OUberLord" Mitera: In hindsight, it's a little surprising that there have been so few games set in The Expanse universe. Osiris Reborn takes inspiration from Mass Effect and is helmed by the talented folks at Owlcat Games, so I feel like they're starting with some strong footing on this one. I'm just hoping for an RPG that I can't stop playing.
Adam Pavlacka: "The Expanse" is easily the best "hard sci-fi" you can watch on TV these days, and the preview trailer for Osiris Reborn shows that the development team has nailed the look and feel of the world. It's extremely compelling to be able to explore locations from the show while experiencing a new story in the universe. A lot is going to depend on how combat plays out, but given Owlcat 's experience with RPG games, I 'm sure the team will nail the story elements. For fans of the show, Osiris Reborn promises a new perspective on established events.
Rainier Van Autrijve: "The Expanse" TV series is hands down one of the best sci-fi series in recent memory. Alas, the series ended way too soon in 2022 after a six-season run. Telltale Games released an episodic adventure game based on the series, but it focused on the Outer Planets Alliance (OPA) faction. In contrast, The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is a third-person action/RPG game that will cover the Belter, Earther, and Martian factions. Players can visit locations and planets for exploration, social interactions, or trading with vendors. The combat system has a variety of classes, but players can experiment with gadgets and abilities that are not bound to a specific play style.
