As WP's managing editor, I edit review and preview articles, attempt to keep up with the frantic pace of Rainier's news posts, and keep our reviewers on deadline, which is akin to herding cats. When I have a moment to myself and don't have my nose in a book, I like to play action/RPG, adventure and platforming games.

3. 'Marvel's Wolverine' (PS5)

Marvel's Wolverine is a standalone game centered around Wolverine with an emotional narrative and cutting-edge gameplay.

Redmond Carolipio: The fact that the people who crafted the incredible Spider-Man games are also bringing forth my favorite member of the X-Men is an actual fever dream. They nailed — nailed — Spider-Man, and it looks like they've found the pulse for the ferally violent SOB we know as Logan. Insomniac knows that anyone who plays this will want to wreck shop, and the game will deliver.

Chris "Atom" DeAngelus: Insomniac has already shown that it knows how to handle superheroes with three separate Spider-Man games under its belt, but Wolverine has already shown off that it seems to have a great grasp over Marvel's angriest Canucklehead. With unrelentingly violent and dramatic combat, and top-of-the-line graphics, it has the potential to be Wolverine's best game yet. Throw in tons of cool references and comic characters, and it's easy to get excited to unsheathe your adamantium claws and dig in.

Tony "OUberLord" Mitera: Insomniac knocked its takes at Spider-Man games out of the park, and now it's making a game based on another fan favorite. What we've seen of the game thus far is a brutal Wolverine tearing through his foes. No plot is known yet, but given Insomniac's track record, I'm sure they're cooking up something good.

Rainier Van Autrijve: Wolverine is such an iconic superhero, but there have not been many Wolverine video games, and it's been a long time since the last iteration. Then again, it's probably difficult to convince higher-ups to make a game based on a visceral and blood-soaked character. (That's likely why there aren't any good Punisher games, either.) However, Insomniac has a knack for making great superhero games, and it seems to be doing the IP proud by embracing the aggression that is synonymous with Wolverine. There will be blood and lots of it.
