Redmond Carolipio: Every release of a new GTA game has felt like a cultural event. No one snapshots the world and society at large like Rockstar does, and nothing weaves in ways to spin storytelling and gameplay within its narrative boundaries a new Rockstar game. There's a reason that Rockstar only churns out games when it's ready, and like the rest of the world, I'm really intrigued by what we're going to see.
Chris "Atom" DeAngelus: To some degree, you don't even need to explain Grand Theft Auto VI. It's arguably the biggest game franchise out there, and it's been over a solid decade of pure hype since the last game. Set in a fiction Florida analog, the story follows a "Bonnie and Clyde"-style duo of criminals as they take on the usual mix of high-drama crime story and over-the-top parodies of the modern world. With what is sure to be the usual insane level of detail and polish Rockstar is known for, it's sure to be one wild ride.
Cody Medellin: There's no chance that any publication would omit GTA6 from its most anticipated games list for 2026. Almost everyone has been waiting for this game to come out, even if they're not fans and just want it released so other titles can finally breathe without worrying about getting crushed by this release. The only question is whether it will actually get released this year or if it will return to this list in 2027.
Tony "OUberLord" Mitera: In theory, 2026 will finally see the release of GTA6. The game is likely Rockstar's most ambitious game yet, and that's saying something given its work with Red Dead Redemption 2. I'm just looking forward to getting immersed in a new story and to see what over a decade of technical advancements lets GTA6 achieve.
