Delta Force will feature a storyline with realistic themes, employed real-life actors for character building, utilized photogrammetry for 3D world creation, captured tactical movements from military professionals, and sought guidance from former Special Forces personnel to ensure an authentic tone of resolute realism and professionalism within the military theme.
Gameplay will feature a strong dose of tactical combat in each mode, as players will select from four Operator classes at launch. Choose from the dominant firepower of the Assault class, showcase your superior tactics with the Engineer class, heal teammates and keep your team fighting on as a Support class or create havoc through the element of surprise as Recon class.
The game's campaign mode is based on Ridley Scott's Black Hawk Down movie, where players will be able to experience authentic and thrilling battles from the celebrated movie.
During a recent developer livestream, Team Jade unveiled Season Echo, the next major update for Delta Force, bringing a wealth of new content and gameplay enhancements across Warfare and Operations modes, alongside expanded sandbox experiences and quality-of-life improvements.
Leading Season Echo, Zero Dam map update introduces the reworked elevator extraction point designed to reduce camping and encourage more dynamic engagements. New flanking routes, reduced defensive cover, swimming mechanics, waterside foliage and environmental cues, like birds reacting to hidden players, create a more balanced and immersive experience.
Season Echo also expands Operations gameplay with new sandbox-style features, including:
- Parkour Challenges: Competitive traversal experiences with leaderboards and operator-specific advantages
- Treasure Mounds: Interactive loot zones where players can uncover rewards, stash items, or leave messages for others
- Collection Room Updates: Weapon display racks and new collectible items, including a customizable soccer ball earned through gameplay achievements
Additional quality-of-life improvements in this update include enhanced player immersion with visible character legs, improved prone mechanics to prevent clipping, and a refined marking system that better distinguishes between enemies and interactable objects.
On the Warfare side, the new season introduces Akh Canal, the 12th Warfare map, designed to deliver faster-paced, high-intensity combat with a “less walking, more gunning” philosophy, while offering a larger playspace, something the community has been asking for. The map features a mix of open trenches, tight indoor spaces, and a central cargo ship chokepoint, offering varied tactical engagements across Attack and Defend and King of the Hill modes.
A standout feature of Akh Canal is its dynamic environmental gameplay. In the D1 sector, players can trigger a missile strike that destroys the main warehouse, creating a massive crater and shifting combat into close-quarters, infantry-focused encounters. This mechanic allows both attackers and defenders to strategically reshape the battlefield in real time.
Warfare mode also sees a suite of vehicle and gameplay updates, including:
- Enhanced Vehicles: IFVs gain guided missiles, while AAVs receive a new Counter-fire Radar passive that highlights attacking enemies
- Thermal Imaging Weaponry: Added to multiple vehicle types for improved target acquisition
- Mobile Enhancements: Aim assist for vehicle weapons and a new third-person driving perspective
- Team Deathmatch Overload Points (OP): Earn buffs such as health regeneration, faster reload, and enemy detection through combat performance
Season Echo brings even more tactical variety to Delta Force with the debut of a new Operator and two major weapon additions. New Operator Luke Everly, code name Morse, is a Recon specialist who excels at battlefield control, using detection and disruption tools to unsettle opponents, gather intel, and create opportunities for his team. Whether setting up a push or denying enemy momentum, Morse adds a new layer of pressure to combat across multiple modes.
On the weapons side, Season Echo introduces the AR57 and the M82 sniper rifle. The AR57 offers high-capacity firepower suited for sustained engagements and aggressive frontline action, while the M82 delivers devastating long-range impact with armor-penetrating heavy-caliber rounds
During the stream, Team Jade teased the next Operations map, which will center around a high-stakes mission featuring branching outcomes and multiple endings based on player decisions and choices. The team also revealed UX improvements for console players, such as easier build share and import, while committing to more console improvements, as well as experience improvements for new and entry-level players.
Team Jade also announced an official collaboration with Tomb Raider, bringing the iconic Lara Croft to the game. This partnership celebrates a shared DNA of resilience; Luna will channel Lara’s legacy through a dedicated visual tribute, reflecting the grit and determination both women possess. Beyond this special outfit, players can immerse themselves in a series of Tomb Raider-themed in-game experiences designed to challenge their survival instincts.
Finishing the stream, the team revealed Delta Force’s major esports plans for 2026, with two Delta Force Invitationals taking place this year. Delta Force Invitational: Warfare will be held in China this June, while Open Qualifiers for the Americas and EMEA will begin soon.
Delta Force: Hawk Ops launches with three exciting, distinct game modes:
- Large-Scale PvP Mode - Havoc Warfare: Compete as part of a large team and take the fight to the enemy as you battle across massive maps featuring authentic terrain and including a range of military vehicles, tanks and aircraft.
- Extraction Mode - Hazard Operations: Squad up and take on rival teams and marauding AI-controlled mercenaries and Royal Guards in Hazard Operations, the most tactical take on the popular extraction genre to date. Random events across huge maps will keep players on their toes, while challenging PvE-focused missions can be completed for valuable loot.
- Campaign Mode - Black Hawk Down: An exciting recreation of the classic Delta Force campaign mode sees a return to Mogadishu to participate in the events of the 2001 Black Hawk Down movie. Featuring both characters and likenesses from the film, while also serving as an officially licensed remaster of the original Delta Force: Black Hawk Down video game.
Delta Force is available for PlayStation, Xbox and PC (Steam / Epic Games Store) as free-to-play with cross-play support.
