In Broken Pieces, players take on the role of Elise, who must unravel the mystery of why she keeps repeating the same day over and over again.Broken Pieces is an action-packed investigative and adventure video game set in France in the 1990s. The game immerses players in the shoes of Elise, who left urban life to settle down with her fiancé in the village of Saint-Exil.
Several years ago, a never-before-recorded sound from the depths of the abyss is picked up by seismographs around the world. Amidst the cold war and political tensions, the world's powers accuse each other of experimenting with new military technologies in secret.
During a simple annual celebration in the village square, an armed military force uses the element of surprise and force to kidnap village inhabitants. Elise escapes and takes refuge in her house. Breathless and terrified, she faints in the attic.
When she wakes up, she realizes that she is now stuck, alone, within the same day that repeats itself over and over again. Elise will have to investigate to unravel the mysteries surrounding the region of Saint-Exil, its ritualistic cult and its lighthouse overlooking the coast.
