A long and tedious road.
The hostile and treacherous Zone.
Unbelievable treasures that might cost you everything.
A blood trial, separating your old life from a new one...
Welcome to The Zone — an area of exclusion around the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, a seamless open-world environment full of radiation, mutants and anomalies, it keeps drawing adventurers from beyond the perimeter.
Bounty hunters dwell deep into the Zone, driven by its treasures and mysteries. These people are known as stalkers.
Are you ready to become one of them?
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 now has a subtitle — Heart of Chernobyl — and a release date of April 28, 2022.
The fans will recognize the exact location on the Swamps. If you played S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, you may remember this place. The time did the job, but the tower is definitely still there.
The new fancy detector is called Gilka. Which means “a stick” in the Ukranian.
That fancy thing Skif picks up is an artifact called Jelly. In game, it recovers your stamina.
There is actually a teaser of new faction. You can notice it during the Chemical Plantgunfight section. We won’t say the actual timecode to make it more interesting.
The town in the dancing man scene is Chernobyl-2. The strange waltz-loving man has a hideout in Chernobyl-2. That’s a town not so far from Pripyat you have seen in the gameplay teaser.
The person at the end is Sergiy Grygorovych, the creator of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series.
In our Ultimate edition, the artifact is truly special. With some high-level magic, it floats in the air.
The building you see on the horizon during the rooftop scene can be found on the official key art. Any ideas what it can be?
You can pre-order your copy of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl starting today on the Xbox Store. Every player who purchases the game will get the early bird weapon and costume skins along with the additional campfire melodies — a fitting way to prepare before you enter The Zone.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl will feature a branching story with multiple endings. Players will have to constantly make uneasy choices with tough consequences — some of them changing the world itself.
The unique simulation system called A-Life from the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy is getting on a new level with A-Life 2.0. With different behavior of characters and mutants, the Zone changes constantly. Every playthrough will be unique with lots of things happening every moment, even if the player doesn’t witness them directly.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl is coming to PC and Xbox Series X|S as a console launch exclusive, on April 28, 2022. The console version of the sequel will also enter Game Pass on day one.
