Battlefront has released a new patch for their strategy game TacOps 4. This update patch brings your retail game to v4.05APu and adds 135 new vehicles including the first appearance of UK units and equipment as well as additional new OOB items for Australia, New Zealand and Germany plus dozens of player requested features, changes and bug fixes. The Australian Headquarters Training Command Army (HQTC-A) has now formally accepted TacOps 4 as meeting contract requirements for an Australian/New Zealand version of TacOps under the working title of "TacOps ANZAC (v4& v5)". This version is now available for issue to all members of the Australian and New Zealand Defence Forces. The final ANZAC version v5 will likely include enhancements that are under concurrent development for the v5 retail edition of TacOps and for the official US Marine Corps v5 edition "TacOpsMC". The v5 retail edition of TacOps will be available later this year only from Battlefront.com, and will not be available in stores.

The Department of the Navy recently announced the award of a one year contract by Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, Orlando, FL to I.L. Holdridge (aka “MajorH” of Battlefront.com) to produce Tactical Decision Simulation (TDS) software under the title “TacOpsMC” for use in U.S. Marine Corps training.
