Kemco Reveals 'Rogue Ops' (ALL) - Facts & Screens

Kemco U.S.A. announced today its premier interactive venture - Rogue Ops, an intense, action adventure game that is sure to catapult Kemco to the upper echelon of game publishers in 2003. Set for distribution on Nintendo GameCube, the PlayStation2 and the Xbox , Rogue Ops is in development by Bits Studio Ltd. Slated for a Q4 2003 release, Rogue Ops is planned to have Xbox Live functionality, complete with downloadable content, as well as other exclusive platform specific extras for the next-generation consoles. CDV's E3 Lineup

CDV Software Entertainment has announced its lineup of titles on display at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles. For the sixth year in a row, CDV joins the cream of the games business at the Convention Center for the hottest game show of the year.

"We are very excited about our 2003 release schedule, as among other things this year marks CDV's crossover to the console market, and for the first time we will display our two Xbox titles, Vultures and The Kore Gang", says Anita Rodic, CDV's PR Manager UK.

Uncommon Valour (UV) is a highly detailed wargame recreating the military campaigns in the South Pacific theatre of Operations from May 1942-Late 1943. The game accounts for individual ships and planes as well as the skills and abilities of the individual pilots and ships captains! The depth of game play and minute attention to detail is thanks to the efforts of its lead designer, Gary Grigsby, who is renowned within the computer war game community as one of its pre-eminent designers, having been responsible for many classic war games such as War In Russia, and Steel Panthers. The design team, 2by3 Games, was founded by Joel Billings who was the founder of one of the first and best-known computer war game publishers: Strategic Simulations Inc (SSI).

Japan Charts: Final Fantasy XI Add-On Goes In At #1

Gameindustry reports that Square's online experiment doing well despite all the stumbling blocks.. The first official add-on disc for Square's PS2 online RPG, Final Fantasy XI, has debuted at the top of the Japanese charts with week one sales of over 90,000 units, proving the continuing popularity of the title. The add-on pack, Vision of Ziraat, is priced at 3980 Yen (€30), and sold 92,000 copies according to official figures, while a bundle featuring the full game and the add-on pack entered the charts at number 31 with unit sales of about 4,500. According to Media Create's figures, FFXI has sold 150,000 units to date, meaning that around 60 per cent of players picked up the add-on in its first week on release - indicating that there's still a very keen level of interest in the game, which Square Enix charges a monthly subscription fee to play.

Take2 May Bid For Vivendi Videogames Unit

Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. is mulling a bid for the videogames business of Vivendi Universal SA, which the French media conglomerate has put up for sale to reduce its borrowings. Take-Two Interactive, based in New York, would make a bid for VU Games with financial partners, according to a person familiar with the situation.
