'James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing' (NGC/PS2/Xbox) Goes Gold

EA sent out notice to announce that James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing has officially gone gold for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube. The game is on track to ship to North American retailers under the EA GAMES brand on Tuesday, February 17th, and will be in stores by Thursday, February 19th.

Electronic Arts has released the previously announced patch for their FPS Battlefield 1942. Take 2 has released a multiplayer demo for Pterodon's Vietcong expansion pack "Fist Alpha". This demo lets you try out some multiplayer action featuring the Fist Alpha map 'Bridge', as well as the initial demo map 'Stream'. MC2 has announced it will release a PS2 version of its acclaimed PC action title, Ironstorm: World War Zero (previously known as just Ironstorm), in Q2, 2004. Developed by Rebellion ('Aliens Vs Predator', 'Judge Dredd'), Ironstorm is an all-action first-person title spanning 19 war-torn stages. Presenting an alternate history concept at the heart of its plot, Ironstorm is set in a shattered 1964 where the first World War never ended. 'Championship Manager 5' Revealed

In an interview with MCV, the UK's games trade mag, Ric Williams of Eidos Interactive reveals that North London-based Beautiful Game Studios is creating the latest Championship Manager title. BGS is a dedicated internal Eidos studio with 30 staff who have over 100 cumulative years development experience, and have previously worked on over 90 titles, 60 of which were football titles (thanks VE3D). Beyond Unreal brought a chat log from 3DGPU's Unreal Tournament 2004 IRC chat online with, amongst many other people, Epic's Mark Rein. You can check the entire chatlog right here, but the most interesting bit of the conversation was : "MarkRein[Epic] The demo will be out within two weeks." We had Far Cry demo, UT2004 is next, now all we need is a HL2 & Doom3 demo :)

Nintendo Vice President Announces Retirement

Nintendo's Vice President, Merchandising, John A. Sakaley III, retires at the end of this month from the position he served with distinction for more than 16 years. Sakaley, who joined Nintendo of America Inc. in 1987, pioneered the first shop-within-a-shop in-store display in the video game industry. He also created the first hands-on interactive displays allowing customers to try video games before they buy them. Since 2000, his team at Nintendo has placed more than 40,000 interactive displays at more than 15,000 retail locations.
