'Morrowind: Game of the Year' (Xbox) Headed to Stores

Bethesda Softworks today announced that it has begun manufacturing The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Game of the Year (GotY) edition for the Xbox and expects the title to be in stores early next week. The Morrowind GotY includes the original Morrowind, along with content from the two Morrowind expansions: Tribunal and Bloodmoon. This new product will allow gamers to continue their existing games of Morrowind and experience the new quests and areas offered by the expansions.

'Horizons: Empire Of Istaria' Ships Early December

Atari and Artifact Entertainment today announced that Horizons: Empire of Istaria will ship to retail outlets nationwide on December 9th. The highly anticipated massively multiplayer online (MMO) role-playing game was previously scheduled to release in November. The extra time will allow Artifact Entertainment to continue to make optimizations and improvements to the game in order to provide one of the most compelling MMO experiences this holiday season. Available for PC, Horizons: Empire of Istaria will allow players to experience online gaming like never before in a single massive online world primed for exploration, brimming with adventure and rife with danger.

Encore today announced that it has begun shipping Redline: Xtreme Air Racing 2, an ultra-realistic flight simulation racing game. Retailing for approximately $30, the PC game will be on store shelves this week.

Ubisoft announced that it is has signed an exclusive agreement with Sony Online Entertainment to publish PlanetSide: Core Combat, the first expansion for the popular massively multiplayer online first-person action game, PlanetSide. Universal Combat brings the greatest components of war together in a single game. Conceived in late 2001 as Battlecruiser Generations, the fifth in the Battlecruiser series, the game has grown into much more than a massive space simulation. Universal Combat is due to be distributed by Mindscape in the UK in November 2003. Unfortunately due to time constraints and a looming Gold date, plans for the demo have been put on hold.
