'Diablo 2' - v1.10 Patch Chat Log

DiabloII.net has a log of a recent IRC Blizzard Chat Session about the upcoming v1.1 patch for Diablo II, they talk about ladder changes, gambling changes, the synergy abilities, changes to PvP combat, changes made to experience and Battle.net enhancements etc. The log is a Q&A type form of conversation with responses from Bill Roper, Max Schaefer, Brian Fitzgerald, Derek Simmons, Peter Hu, Ken Williams, Robert Bridenbecker, Chris Arretche, Matt Householder, Geoff Fraizer, Lisa Bucek, George Wang and Gil.

As some of you may have noticed, our Swedish download server is temporarily down for maintenance. We are taking that opportunity to upgrade the box itself by adding more HD space to better cope with the increasing traffic. Unless any major issues arise, the server should be back online within a few hours ... bigger and better baby!

'Chrome' Gets Slightly Delayed

Publisher Strategy First and Developer Techland announced today that the release date for their upcoming PC First-Person Tactical Shooter game, CHROME, has been changed from early to late summer 2003. The decision to push back the release of CHROME was based on player feedback from the recent beta test.

The game is developed on original high-tech engine The Firestarter Engine, which uses the possibilities of the latest accelerator generation GeForce3/4. Among the engine possibilities are work with outdoor and indoor areas, coloured dynamic lighting, dynamic shadows, vertex and pixel shaders, T&L, procedure textures, various classes of particle system-based effects, interactive and destructible level objects, realistic physics, high-polygonal character and monster models (up to 5000 of polygons), skeleton animation. 'IGI 2: Covert Strike' - Patch Coming Tomorrow

Codemasters plans to release an IGI 2 version 1.2 upgrade on Friday. Improvements range from bug fixes to better frame rates on high-end systems. Codemasters will also release a new map editor that allows players to create their own levels and a new dedicated server pack that includes a Linux compatible server (thanks Avault).
