'3DO' Says Files For Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

Video game publisher 3DO Co. on Wednesday said it has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and would seek to either sell the company or its assets. Redwood City, California-based 3DO, which has struggled to gain a foothold in the competitive games business and has relied on Chief Executive Trip Hawkins for funding of late, said it filed for bankruptcy protection in federal court in northern California (thanks HomeLAN).

Lock 'N Load Ships To Stores

Due to the overwhelming interest in Shrapnel Games' first boardgame it is expected that all pr-release copies may not go out until Monday, the 2nd of June. Lock 'N Load: Forgotten Heroes Vietnam is a fast moving, fun to play, tactical level game of small unit actions in the Vietnam War. While players will find it to be an accurate depiction of squad level combat you won't have to wade through a hundred pages of rules to play. In fact, you'll be up and playing after reading less than a dozen pages of rules!

Arush has released the Singleplayer demo of Devastation, featuring two levels from the full game allowing you to blast their way through the levels South Urbia and Transit. Take control of Flynn and lead the Resistance through the war-torn streets of South Urbia as you fight your way to the Conformists hideout, then lead your team in a back and forth battle in a dirty subway system called Transit, dodging P*Laser fire that will burn you to a crisp in seconds.
