Microsoft Game Studios today announced that Rise of Nations: Thrones and Patriots has gone gold and is scheduled to ship to stores on 21st May for an estimated retail price of £19.99 (UK). By now we all know that Lord Of The Rings director Peter Jackson has been tapped to do a remake of the classic King Kong movie. Starring Adrien Brody from "The Piano" and not comedian Jack Black (recently seen in The School Of Rock), Gamespot got the confirmation from Ubisoft people that they are indeed publishing (or maybe also developing?) a game based on the movie, to coincide with the theatrical release, somewhere in 2005. No specific details are available at this time, but with E3 drawing closer we hopefully won't have to wait much longer.
