'F.E.A.R.' - SECURom HotFix Available NOW

F.E.A.R. is an intense first person close-quarters combat experience with rich atmosphere and an engaging, paranormal horror storyline. Various people have complained about problems with the latest v1.02 patch that they could no longer start up the game due to the securom copy protection. While it still does not seem to resolve all issues with the game, Securom has issued a hotfix to address "some" of the issues, such as problems were the exe was sitting in taskmanager without actually launching the game, or the need to alt+tab in order to play online. Ubisoft Working On Revolution First Person Shooter

During a Nintendo press conference, Spanish website Meristation received information from a Ubisoft spokes person that Ubisoft Canada (team behind Beyond Good & Evil) is working on a FPS for Nintendo's next-gen Revolution console, to be unveiled at E3 2006. While details are obviously limited the website claims that the unnamed title will take full advantage of the Revolution's unique controller and that it will take place in a Doom-like environment.

'Age of Empires III' - v1.02 Patch In The Works

Age of Empires III is an RTS set in 1500 A.D. and chronicles the Age of Discovery that started around the time that Columbus discovered the new world. Ensemble revealed that it is working on a new v1.02 patch which will address hardware compatibility issues, sound stuttering issues, fixes for Direct3D, Stability and Crash Issues, hotkey Editor. On top of that, Ensemble is trying to include 5 maps based on current ones available in the game, just made larger.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Wild combines thrilling coasters with extreme animal parks. Atari has released the first patch for the North American edition of the game, which fixes the slight drop in framerate at night when constructing extended coasters.

October US Video Game Sales Take A Nosedive

Market researchers NPD Group announced that U.S. retail sales of video games in October fell to $365 million, down 24 percent from a year earlier, console game sales were around $294 million, while sales of handheld games were about $71 million.

Future 'C-S Source' & 'DoD: Source' Steamy Update #14

Valve lastest Steam Update has a few details on what to expect in the near future regarding C-S Source and DoD Source. Over the next few weeks Valve'll have updates coming for both aforementioned titles, starting with one new level for each. Last week it was announced that an updated de_nuke will be making its return to Counter-Strike, and this week Valve revealed a new DoD Source map, named Argentan. Valve also said a new game is coming to Steam, with an official announcement due soon.
