Midway Launches 'Earth 2160' Website

Midway Games today announced the launch of the official Earth 2160 U.S. Web site. Gamers can now go online to view faction profiles, unit descriptions, storyline details, trailers and more for the anticipated real-time strategy game from Reality Pump Studios. The Web site also features a link to pre-order Earth 2160 and receive a bonus DVD with eight additional maps and a retail version of Earth 2150.

'Stubbs the Zombie' (Xbox) Has Gone Gold

Aspyr Media and Wideload Games today announced that the Xbox version of their upcoming Stubbs the Zombie game has gone gold. The game will hit stores in late October at a SRP of $49.99.

Stream Theory Picks Up Hip Interactive titles

Stream Theory today announced that it has signed a worldwide content provider agreement with Hip Interactive Europe, giving Stream Theory the license to popular PC games including the recently released Stolen and CT Special Forces: Fire For Effect as well as the upcoming release Garfield: Saving Arlene.

'Condemned: Criminal Origins' (X360/PC) Gets Movie Adaptation

Warner Bros. has set The Shield co-executive producer Kurt Sutter to write "Species X," a drama about a police detective who realizes he might be from another world. WB Interactive Entertainment will simultaneously develop a The Condemned: Criminal Origins sequel based on the concept. It is an unusual occurrence, since movies and vidgames usually cross-pollinate when one is a hit and the other is little more than an adaptation.

World Championship Poker 2 features a much more detailed one player game, where you now have to work your way up the ranks, starting in your mom's basement. Once you start winning and accumulating money, you can spend your winnings on increasingly better pads, and furnishings. Hit a losing streak, and you may have to hock your stuff to stay in the game.
