PlayStation, Xbox and GameCube Game Price Cuts

THQ Inc. Chief Executive Brian Farrell said on Friday cuts in the price of PlayStation, Xbox and GameCube consoles have spurred sales of its video games, and should keep demand vibrant throughout the year. "For product that was on shelf as of May 1 ... there has been about a 20 percent lift," Farrell said in an interview with Reuters. THQ's games include "Tetris," "Red Faction" and titles related to characters from the "Nickelodeon" television network and World Wrestling Entertainment Inc.

Gordon: At E3, you demonstrated The Omega Stone. The textures and detail inside the pyramid ( MAYAN) where awesome.Were these actual textures from pictures you took on the site?

Jeff: Some were photos taken at Chichen Itzá and others were from an extensive library we have at the Omni Creative Group/Omni Adventures studio. It is ideal to go the location and get the textures, but not a necessity. Sometimes it actually works out better to use another texture from an unrelated area. Whatever looks right to our eye is what we use.

Paradox signs multiple title deal with Pan Vision

Paradox Entertainment and Pan Vision announce that they have entered a multiple-title publishing agreement for three of Paradox's upcoming titles for Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. The first game will be released in the third quarter. The titles in the deal are Legion, Crusader Kings and Hearts of Iron. Pan Vision published several of Paradox's previous games, among them Europa Universalis and Europa Universalis II. Paradox games have done extremely well in the nordic market, and have a firmly established customer base.
