Shadowbane Portal Releases E3 Video Journal!

Shadowbane Portal's Seira and Bubba released a very high quality E3 video journal which they compiled by filming several demos live from the booth's floor. The first portion of the journal takes place with Ashen Temper, who demonstrates swimming under water, performs some very cool spell effects, and even a takes a quick tour around the burning City of Nightbridge. It is during this portion of the video that you can start to visualize the gravity of a siege, and the amount of impact it will have on various factions and players communities. Is the new equipment in Raven Shield actual equipment in use today? (The heartbeat sensor goggles, and the thermal imaging scope)

All the equipment available to TR6 exists in some form. Wheter or not it is available on a weapon platform or stand-a-lone is a game decision.

U.S. Army Gets Into The Gaming Business

Last week, at the Electronic Entertainment Expo, the Army unveiled "America's Army," a new game series that's meant to serve as a marketing and recruiting tool for the gaming generation. Recognizing that the target audience knows a quality title when it sees one (and ignores and ridicules poor quality efforts), the Army has assembled a team of proven developers and licensed one of the premier engines on the market to make its games. Quality doesn't come cheap, though. The budget for "America's Army" is in the $7 million range. (thanks Blues).

Three New X-Box Games Announced - Screens

CDV Software Entertainment AG, one of the leading German publishers and distributors of gaming software, today announced three upcoming titles for the Xbox videogame system from Microsoft. In a continuing effort to diversify consumer offerings, CDV is planning to release "CORE," "Project Nomads," and "Vultures" in 2003.

Valhalla Classics Episode Five

Vulcan Software let us know that episode five of the Valhalla Classics is finished! It's called the 'Servants Hall' and is the first episode set in the period known as Before The War. This time you play the evil (and grumpy) character called 'The Lord Of Infinity', he can be described as a blend of Clint Eastwood and Marvin 'The Paranoid Android' (from 'Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy')... but as with the little prince (from episodes 1 to 4).
