Today Activision released its quarterly financial statement and apart from doing quite well (sales & revenue are up, WAY up), driven by strong sales from Doom 3, Spider-Man 2, Rome: Total War, Tony Hawk 2, X-Men Legends, Call Of Duty etc. In the following investors conference call Activision revealed that the eagerly awaited Xbox edition of Doom 3, as well as the fresly announced expandion pack for the PC, are expected in the first quarter of 2005 which means between January, March 2005.

A few weeks Apex Designs announced that their GTA style action game, "Payback," had gone gold and was expected in North American retail stores November 25, 2004. Today Apex updated their website with the announcement that "Unfortunately, due to difficulties getting stores to take an M rated game, Payback's US release has been pushed back by a few weeks." The European November 19th release date is not in jeopardy and will be shipping to stores as planned.
