After John Woo earlier bought the right to Nintendo's Metroid, as well as Spy Hunter (starring The Rock, expected in 2005), Paramount has now officially approached John Woo to direct yet another new movie based on Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six franchise. Speculations whether we will also see familiar book/game characters as John Clark and Domingo Chavez are still pu in the air, no possible names for actors are mentioned at this point.

Developed in Madrid, Spain by Virtual Toys in partnership with Cinemaware, and based on the top-grossing films of the same name, Torrente is a fascist, sexist, racist, drunk, and dirty cop who soon finds himself caught in the crossfire between drug cartels and the Mafia. The new instalment will have players racing through photo-realistic race tracks and will introduce a brand new mode. The game is slated for worldwide release in the quarter ending September 30, 2005, for the Xbox and on PC.
