Nintendo DS Japanese Sales Surpass 5 Million Units

Domestic sales of Nintendo's DS portable game machine reached 5 million units in less than 13 months after its launch in early December 2004, the fastest-ever pace in Japan's video game market, Nintendo said on Monday.

Namco's Love Football, scheduled for spring 2006, is being endorsed by Japanese soccer star Tsuneyoshi Miyamoto, who has lend his likeness to the game, as well as being featured on the cover. Love football will feature story mode, online play, and real life 60 teams to choose from.
