Black Element Software announced that its single-player oriented sci-fi FPS has gone gold (thanks NoFrag). At its core is a story written by the foremost Czech Sci-fi author Ondrej Neff. Game play will be a varied balance of combat and more technical activities such as hacking and remotely controlling robotic devices.

job recruitement announcement on Ubisoft's website reveals that a sequel to Red Steel might be in the works as its Paris studio is looking for an experienced game designer to assist in the development of Red Steel sequel. This revelation might have been premature as Ubisoft updated the recruitement page and quickly removed the Red Steel reference. Oddly enough the qualification also requires multiplayer and RPG experience. Whether the new title is Wii exclusive or multiplatform is not mentioned.

While Europe will finally see the first Nintendo Wii units appear in stores on December 8, gamers might have fewer games to choose from as anticipated. Ubisoft is delaying 3 titles, Splinter Cell Double Agent (Dec. 14), Far Cry: Vengeance (Dec. 21) and Blazing Angels : Squadrons of WWII (Dec. 31), while one of the strongest North American launch titles, Atlus' Trauma Center: The Second Opinion, is getting pushed back to Spring 2007, due to localization issues.
