Microsoft confirmed today its plans to release a new portable music and entertainment player called Zune. In fact there are plans for several products, the first one scheduled for later this year. Microsoft today released its Q4 fiscal results, and while overall revenue increased, the profit dropped almost 24%. Federal District Court Judge James Brady has denied Jack Thompson's filing of an amicus curiae ("friend of the court") motion in the ongoing lawsuit over Louisiana's recently-enacted video game law.
