UK's BBFC has granted Eidos' Reservoir Dogs an 18+ rating (equivalent of the ESRB's M Rating), but the the Association of Chief Police Officers has
voiced its total disapproval of the game, due to its violent emotions, especially against members of the police service, and that it encourages to torture, shoot and execute policemen. Earlier this year New Zealand's Office of Film and Literature Classification banned the game because it "encourages the player to perform – and showcases in slow motion – the most extreme forms of violence and brutality for the purpose of entertainment."

For the first quarter of fiscal 2007, THQ reported net sales of $138.8 million, exceeding expectations of $125.0 million, primarily due to better-than-anticipated sales of Pixar's Cars and MotoGP 2006 videogames. When Activision signed its
license agreement with Marvel, it included rights for Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four and Iron Man through 2009. While the first three franchises all received games, Iron Man was the only one holding out, until the recent announcement of the movie. News has been rather quiet on that front, and
according to Gamespot, the reason is because Activision simply no longer holds the rights to it, effectively cancelling any game they had in development.
