The Day of Defeat: Source Palermo Update adds 51 achievements, player avatar displays in the scoreboard and win panel, and detailed player statistics that are integrated with the Steam Community features. When Activision announced last year that it would merge with Vivendi Games not all its shareholders were in agreement with the $18.9 billion deal. Wayne County Employees' Retirement System filed a preliminary injunction which has now been denied by the Delaware Court of Chancery, so the merger can move forward.

Earlier today SCEA released the v2.40 PS3 system software update adding in-game XMB access which enables users to connect and communicate with other gamers, as well as giving PS3 users the ability to earn Trophies and tout their accomplishments & skills via profiles with other members of the community. Shortly after its release PS3 owners who updated their console started complaining about their PS3 freezing/locking up. Without explanation the firmware is no longer available.

The latest issue of Japanese gaming magazine Jump has got the Chrono Trigger fans all excited showing off a screenshot of the old 2D game, listing it as coming to the NDS, scheduled for release in Japan this coming winter. Speculations are further fueled by
a teaser page on Square Enix's website showing off the series' iconic clock image accompanied by an NDS logo. Chrono Trigger made its debut on the SNES mid 90's, with a PSOne port in 1999, and a year later the Chrono Cross sequel.
