'Skate 2' (ALL) First Details Revealed

Revealed earlier this year, the September issue of EGM has the first details on EA's free-roaming Skate 2. Set five years after the original, San Vanelona's been rebuild after it was hit by a natural disaster. Skate 2 will sport a Tiger Woods-like character editor, allow you to play as a girl, a tweaked camera angle including a 3rd person view, run at 60fps and have no load times when teleporting to a session marker. The game will now also allow you to get off your skateboard and move objects around in the world to open new pathways, while pedestrians will automatically move out of your way.

Gears of War is an action game where hero Marcus Fenix is rescued from prison by a small group of elite soldiers to save planet Sera from an invasion of aliens known as the Locust. Coming off the recent The Dark Knight success, Legendary Pictures has jumped on the Gears of War train to co-finance/produce the project. The Gears of War movie was picked up by New Line Cinema last year, said to be directed by Die Hard 4's Len Wiseman, and currently scheduled for 2010.

'Peggle' (NDS) Officially Announced

Revealed at the CGA yesterday, PopCap officially announced Peggle is coming the the NDS, developed by Lumines studio Q Entertinament. Peggle combines elements of pinball, pachinko and pool where players fire a silver ball from the top of the screen, relying on the laws of physics to propel the ball downwards while ricocheting off orange and blue ‘pegs’.
