Gears of War 2 picks up six months after the events of the original, thrusting players back into humankind’s epic battle for survival against a nightmarish force of underground creatures known as the Locust Horde. At Comic-Con Epic's Cliff Bleszinski revealed that Gears 2 will have "linked achievements," meaning the original will unlock new content in the sequel. For example, killing Raam in GoW will unlock him as a playable character in the sequel. Previously games used save games to unlock items or weapons in a sequel, but this might be a first to automatically have content be available through achievements.

Revealed last month, NFS: Undercover will feature a very strong mission structure, influenced by the action movies The Transporter, and a better storyline with a strong narrative hook. A cinematic video on YouTube seems to show off the first footage from the new NFS installment, with the end showing a possible release date, Nov. 18, 2008.
