Last month SCEA announced a revamped PSP model with a higher quality LCD screens for better picture quality. Shortly thereafter rumors claimed that because of the enhanced screen the battery life would be shorter than the previous PSP model. With that deadline now expired, Tecmo issued a statement that it is indeed not going to accept Square Enix's friendly takeover bid, but is instead talking to KOEI about merging the two companies.
