Midway Games has reached a waiver and forbearance agreement with the holders of its $75 million principal amount of 7.125% Convertible Senior Notes due 2026, extending their right to require Midway to repurchase the notes until Feb. 19, 2009. Gears of War 2 picks up six months after the events of the original, thrusting players back into humankind's epic battle for survival against a nightmarish force of underground creatures known as the Locust Horde. Epic is working on a major title update for GoW2 that will address bugs, online exploits (invisible shield, melee through some walls, gain infinite Lancer ammo), and new achievements related to DLCs.
