JoWooD Confirms Release Date For Rally Trophy

by Rainier on Nov. 1, 2001 @ 8:07 p.m. PST

JoWooD Productions have announced a UK release date of November 9th 2001 for Bugbear Entertainment's hotly anticipated PC rally simulation, Rally Trophy.
Managing Director of JoWooD Productions UK Ltd., Vip Patel said, "After months of keen anticipation, we've reached the finishing straight and Rally Trophy will be hitting the shelves very shortly. Following some terrific feedback on the playable demo released earlier in the month, we're geared up for great success when this superlative game hits the market."

Rally Trophy, is a rally sim with a difference. Instead of the modern, run of the mill WRC cars found in nearly every other rally game on the market, Rally Trophy features the illustrious cars of yesteryear. From the Mini Cooper 1275S and the Renault Alpine A110, to the Ford Escort MK1 RS2000, the Ford Lotus Cortina and the Lancia Stratos, in Rally Trophy, players will be able to pilot eleven timeless classics from the golden age of rallying. Realistic physics and state-of-the-art graphics unite to make Rally Trophy's 42 courses rewarding and challenging to drive. Speed fans will be able to get their driving gloves on Rally Trophy when it is published on CD-ROM for Windows by JoWooD Productions on 9th November 2001, priced £29.99.

An X-Box version of Rally Trophy is due to be published by JoWooD Productions in 2002.
