Gun Valkyrie (xbox) - Screens

by Rainier on March 16, 2002 @ 11:58 p.m. PST

One of the most promising XBOX titles must be Sega's "Gun Valkyrie". Originally planned for end 2001 it is now scheduled for April 2002. The wait is almost over so Sega send us some more screens. Check out those beauties!!

In a world very much like our own in a time much like the 19th century a lone scientist Dr Hebble is able to make a string of incredible technological breakthroughs. But these advances accelerate beyond his own intentions, resulting in a revolutionary form of energy that once harnessed could propel mankind into a new era or lead to complete annihilation. With the governments assistance, a group of scientists are able to form GunValkyrie , an organisation bent on protecting these new breakthroughs and policing their use.

When Dr Hebble suddenly disappears and a host of nightmarish creatures appear the GunValkyrie unit is called upon to retrieve the scientist, destroy the vile creatures and return order to the world by force. Gameplay is woven around the twin strands of alien combat featuring huge bug like creatures, and heavy duty weapons and artillery. GunValkyrie blends intense action with stunning visuals as you explore a terrifying world, exterminating an aggressive alien species. Advanced lighting effects complement the action with a dark atmosphere and new shading effects that give each and every creature a naturally smooth and organic experience.
