Basically, "Sheep" is a pick-up-and-play game where you the player (or more precisely, you the shepherd in the guise of Bo Peep, Adam Death, Shep or Motley), have to lead one of 5 inordinately stupid breeds of sheep through 16 levels of ever-increasing distraction to the UFO pick-up point.
All sounds straight forward enough, doesn't it? Well, it isn't! For Empire Interactive, a company best known for its strategy games and incredibly realistic flight simulators, "Sheep" is something of a departure. The developers, Mind's Eye - a bunch of folk quite clearly on another planet- have turned the whole concept of Artificial Intelligence completely on its head to present the world with... wait for it...Artificial Stupidity! So here, we're talking computerized sheep behaving as unpredictably, as irrationally and as downright stupidly as their natural, eating, breathing, methane-making cousins. But in a variety of situations - including in Space, Nightclubs and Ice-Cream Factories - that are far more involving than some dreary old hilltop! Bearing in mind those millions of PC and PlayStation‚ game console owners around the world, there's only one more thing to add: Never Underestimate the Stupidity of Sheep.
