UbiSoft Gives Previous 'Chessmaster' Owners a Rebate!

Ubi Soft Entertainment today announced a rebate program for its forthcoming Chessmaster 9000 PC title. Under the program, current Chessmaster owners will receive a $10 rebate when they upgrade to Chessmaster 9000 from any previous version of Chessmaster, starting with Chessmaster 4000. Chessmaster 9000 has an MSRP of $39.99, and will ship to U.S. and Canadian retail shelves on August 27, 2002.
"Since its launch in 1986, millions of chess lovers have taken advantage of Chessmaster's fun and comprehensive approach to the game of chess," said Tony Kee, vice president of marketing at UbiSoft Entertainment. "This $10 rebate is a reward for our loyal Chessmaster fans who have supported the product through the years. With its outstanding new content and support for new operating systems, Chessmaster 9000 is sure to please both chess beginners and veterans alike."

To receive the $10 mail-in rebate, customers will provide their Chessmaster 9000 store receipt dated on or before April 30, 2003, with purchase price circled, a photocopy of their CD or floppy disk from any of the following Chessmaster products: Chessmaster 4000, 5000, 5500, 6000, 7000, 8000 (PC or Mac), and the original rebate coupon from their new Chessmaster 9000 product.
