“Over the past three years, we have received significant critical acclaim from members of the media, industry peers and non-traditional sources such as the U.S. Department of Defense,” says Andrew Tepper of eGenesis. “Now we look forward to broadening our base and changing the way the world perceives the ‘massively multiplayer’ genre.”
A Tale In The Desert also boasts a suite of features never seen before in a massively multiplayer online game. A robust, player-driven legal system allows citizens to change the rules of the game and a focus on intrigue, manipulation and strategy instead of combat. Players advance by completing a range of inventive and cooperative tasks including sculpture, gardening, beer and wine making, even fireworks contests.
The game has gathered fans from among over 11,000 beta testers worldwide and with its impending release, A Tale In The Desert is set to change the way MMORPGs are viewed. The game’s open beta cycle continues with a final beta session this weekend and running through the last two weeks of January.
