Shadow of the Sun puts the player in control of a fallen Vampire Lord who is on a quest that involves death, revenge and liberation. The game mixes exhilarating all out action, state of the art “cinematic visuals”, logical task solving and an exciting and engrossing plot line.

Shadow of the Sun will immerse the player so they are made to feel like they are part of the world, making them believe that they are on a quest and not just trying to reach the next level. The amazing story and the graphical style, which is more akin to Lord of the Rings than Hammer Horror, will deliver a truly cinematic experience.

The stunning and breathtaking game world is inhabited by some truly monstrous creatures that are ready to tear the main character limb from limb and mammoth battles are never far away. Threa is populated by numerous Vampire Clans to do battle with, with each of them possessing their own visual style, strengths and weaknesses. There are also many hazards that he will have to overcome which include the deadly rays of the sun, man made UV machines, nasty trap systems that will slice and dice and huge boss characters that want to rip the him to shreds.

To assist the character on his quest, numerous weapons and unique vampire abilities can be acquired. The varied weapons range from Double Samurai swords to crossbows, which can be upgraded with explosive arrows. The Vampire abilities will play an integral part of the game and some tasks won’t be able to be completed without them.

The task solving in Shadow of the Sun will be logical, making the player think and be aware of his surroundings. Sometimes the tasks will involve the player having to use the physical world to solve or overcome a certain problems. The task solving will never detract from the pace of the game and will only help to further the story along.
