The Warriors are closing in and they are prepared for a major assault. KOEI Corporation today announced that Dynasty Warriors 4 is shipping to retailers throughout North America. Consumers can expect to find the game on retail shelves as early as Wednesday, and can still order it through online retailers including ebgames.com, gamestop.com, kbtoys.com, and toysrus.com.

Dynasty Warriors 4, known as Shin Sangoku Musou 3 in Asia, has already sold one million units in its native Japan since its release on February 27, 2003.

“The Dynasty Warriors series established a new genre of 3D combat and in the process captivated legions of gamers,” said Amos Ip, Vice-President of Sales & Marketing at KOEI Corporation. “Fully-loaded with new features, devastating new moves, striking visuals, and a stirring musical score, Dynasty Warriors 4 will again have fans and soon-to-be fans alike enthralled with an epic story of loyalty, strength, courage, and desire.”

The Dynasty Warriors 4 site is also live. Here, players can learn more about the game’s characters, register for Internet rankings, and download exclusive wallpapers.

Set amidst the treachery and romance of ancient China’s Three Kingdoms period, Dynasty Warriors 4 takes battlefield action to the next level. Gamers will experience the thrill of taking on multiple opponents at once and fighting against impossible odds. A host of new features add greater depth to the gameplay, as well as more insight into the characters and turbulent events of the era.

Dynasty Warriors 4 has a suggested retail price of US$49.99. Available exclusively for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, Dynasty Warriors 4 is rated “T” (Teen- Mild Language, Violence) by the ESRB.
