We're thrilled to partner with CompUSA as we launch our qualifying rounds of competition across the United States," said Joe Moss, Executive Director of UCGA. "We are holding tournaments in every corner of the country to assure that we truly get the best players in the nation, and that everyone who wants to compete gets a chance to join in the fun. With 400 events and estimated 20,000 competitors, the WCG 2003 U.S. Tournament will be the most extensive and inclusive video game competition ever."

The top players at each game from each location will return to the same CompUSA stores in July to compete in five more days of WCG 2003 U.S. Semifinals, and the semifinal winners will advance the U.S. Final in August. There, the country's best gamers will vie for a coveted spot on Team USA and a chance to compete for a share of $400,000 in prizes at the WCG 2003 Grand Final in Korea.
"CompUSA is excited to be teaming with Samsung Electronics and World Cyber Games for the second year in a row," stated Larry Mondry, President CompUSA Stores/COO. "Gaming has evolved into a business that tests the boundaries of technology and CompUSA will continue to grow with it."
