Up to 128 players can compete in each country's tournament, with the top two players from each territory going on to the Games Convention in Leipzig later this year, where they will compete against the finalists from the other countries. The overall winner of the Blitzkrieg tournament will be determined in an exciting head-to-head match. Experienced eSports presenters will back up the whole event with live commentary, which will also be broadcast live at the Convention. With €5,000 (about £3,400) to be won at the finals, all the participants will have plenty to play for - both money and national pride.
Further information about the championship, including details of how to sign up for the UK tournament, will be published on the official Blitzkrieg website . For more information about the Electronic Sports League, check the official ESL website.
Blitzkrieg will be published by CDV Software Entertainment UK on April 25th, priced £34.99.
