'Hunter The Reckoning : Redeemer' (Xbox) - Screens

by Rainier on April 8, 2003 @ 8:05 p.m. PDT

Hunter: The Reckoning returns to the Xbox with even more frenetic multi-player action than the original game. Based on the gothic fantasy world of White Wolf's pen and paper RPG system, players act as human monster-hunters combining melee, ranged and spell-driven attacks. In Hunter: The Reckoning - Redeemer, the hunt continues as a new Hunter joins the original team of 4 in their fight to save the citizens of Ashcroft from a twisted plot to take over the innocent town. Players battle against hordes of supernatural enemies in single-or multi-player mode - they do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Vivendi Universal Games today announced the launch of the website for its upcoming horror action game, Hunter: The Reckoning Redeemer. Developed by High Voltage Software exclusively for the Xbox, Hunter: The Reckoning Redeemer is the all-new sequel to the original Hunter: The Reckoning, and is based on the gothic world of White Wolf's pen and paper role-playing games.

Visitors to the site can get the latest information on the game, including news updates, screenshots, game play movies, downloadable wallpapers, character bios and more. Content will be updated regularly to show off the latest and coolest aspects of the game as it nears release.

This new chapter in the Hunter: The Reckoning storyline introduces a new playable Hunter - Kaylie Winter, the Redeemer. Kaylie joins the original four Hunters in unraveling the mystery behind a seemingly benevolent corporation that has brought industry and renewed hope to the shattered town of Ashcroft and its citizens.

Hunter: The Reckoning Redeemer features five playable characters, each with specialized ranged and melee weapons, combo attacks and magical "Edges"
(spells). Both single and co-op multiplayer mayhem unfolds in all-new levels taken directly from White Wolf's spine-chilling "World of Darkness" pen and paper RPG's, full of a variety of supernatural creatures - flesh eating zombies, bloodthirsty vampires and horrifying boss characters.

Alternate skins, weapons, secret cheats and new playable characters will be available for download via Xbox(tm)Live. Hunter: The Reckoning Redeemer is scheduled to ship this October.
