The player is challenged to free his family and friends from the captivity in a vampire count's castle. As the game progresses it becomes clear that all is not what it seems and that violence is the only way to save yourself, your family. And mankind… Your family members are barricaded at different places in a large castle and prey to violent vampires. You must locate them and take on an action packed FPS style rescue operation to bring each of them to designated safe areas within the castle. In order to rescue your sister (the last family member), that is part of a gruesome resurrection ritual, you will have you confront a Nosferatu style vampire boss and an ancient beast vampire superboss in order to escape, rescue mankind and complete the game.
You'll have to face the diabolic henchmen and monsters of the vampires in the castle's halls and rooms with an arsenal of firearms, close combat- and traditional vampire attack weapons, as they attack you shock-effect style. The rescued family members comes to your aid with reward items and weapons and will also help you fight and get rid of obstacles in your path in the castle. The family members that are slain add to the vampire superboss' power. So, you can still complete the game if family members are slain, it'll just be harder.
One additional interesting aspect of the game is the Architectural Generator Engine that, when you play, arranges the castle layout in a new and unique way every time you play. This is an internally developed, highly sophisticated file hierarchy system that allows random generation of geometry (static and/or animated), texturing, sound, character spawning and any game play element.
As the player moves through the castle he will be prey to the Count's henchmen. They'll frighten him shock style and attack him according to their combat tactics. The player will have to fight them with whatever means necessary, or escape. Combat will include sword fighting and shooting and a combat style use of traditional anti-vampire items like mirrors, crosses and crucifixes.
Time is of the essence in this game, and as the vampires will brake down the barricades protecting the protagonist characters and attack them, the story of the game unfolds from a mere rescue operation to an action packed splatter style vampire hunt, and ends climactic with a final confrontation with an ancient supernatural being to determine the fate of the world.
