by Rainier on Jan. 29, 2004 @ 9:33 a.m. PST

The Adventure Company* today announced that it has shipped Jack the Ripper on PC-CD. This compelling adventure is based on a young reporter, Jimmy Palmer, who is writing a story about a series of gruesome murders in the Low Side District of New York. He soon begins a dangerous dialogue with a mysterious character and his obsession with this dark relationship compels him to seek out the evil killer.

Palmer examines crime scenes, interviews potential suspects and fits clues together as he gradually tracks down Jack the Ripper himself. The question on everyone's lips…..Has the world's most infamous killer resurfaced in New York?

Jack the Ripper is based on true historical events and features a 360° view, real-time 3D characters, and ambient background effects. The game uses an enhanced Virtools® engine allowing for rich detailed graphics, and special effects, with a user-friendly point-and-click interface.

Adventure fans will need to stay focused on plot and solve a number of excellently crafted puzzles to eventually capture this ruthless killer.

Jack the Ripper is developed by Galiléa Production and has and ESRB of T for Teen. Visit http://www.adventurecompanygames.com/jack_the_ripper/index.html
