by Rainier on Feb. 11, 2004 @ 10:34 a.m. PST

Players will command a special task force composed of different kinds of units, including tanks, APCs, field guns, mortars, various infantry regiments and will also have an opportunity to call for artillery and air support. With a focus on unit detail and combat realism, would-be generals are faced with authentic battle scenarios, taken straight from actual World War II records and maps.

Set to be the most authentic and compelling tactical real time strategy game ever designed, Wartime Command will excel in detail and accuracy, especially in its portrayal of period weapons of war.

In addit ion to bringing innovation and a new epic 3D visual standard to tactical strategy gaming, the intense experience of Wartime Command’s gameplay is compounded by the amount of research invested in the game by the development team at 1C in Russia.

Pak-35/36

Designed in 1928-1930 the Pak-35/36 gun was the main anti-tank gun in the German infantry divisions at the beginning of the war. Over 16000 guns of this type were manufactured. In addition to fighting against tanks and APCs this gun was also actively used against strong targets and infantry with no cover.

Pak-43/41

Pak-43/41 gun was one of the most powerful antitank guns of WWII. Pak-43/41 was actively used against heavy Soviet tanks (it was specially designed for this role). Armour penetration of the gun using PzGr 40/43 shell had an extremely high value of 205 mm from 1000 meters distance with a 60° angle of impact. Over 1000 guns of this type were created since 1943.
