'Medieval Lords: Kingdom Under Siege' Revealed

by Rainier on March 23, 2004 @ 12:57 a.m. PST

Monte Cristo Games, publisher and developer of numerous top selling titles, including Desert Rats vs. Afrika Korps, Emergency Fire Response and Pop Star Academy, has licensed SpeedTreeRT for use in "Medieval Lords," a title to be released in 2004.

"We chose SpeedTree because they are able to create life-like 3D trees of different kinds with a specific look for each tree," said Jerome Gastaldi, Managing Director. "'Medieval Lords: Kingdom Under Siege' is a city-builder game, and we wanted all the sets to be interesting to admire from both a long distance and in first-person view. Using this technology that has trees moving in the wind adds a great deal of life to the close-up views in the game."

Based in Paris, Monte Cristo, founded 9 years ago, has become a respected player in the sector of management and strategy games. Emergency Fire Response, Platoon, The Partners, Airline Tycoon, Wall Street Trader, Start-Up, Political Tycoon , Crazy Factory, Casino Mogul, and more recently, Pop Star Academy and Desert Rats vs Afrika Korps, have contributed to Monte Cristo's expertise.

Monte Cristo is now focusing its production and design resources towards life simulation, builders and tactical management with the intention of reaching a larger international audience. For more information on Monte Cristo, visit www.montecristogames.com.

Medieval Lords: Kingdom Under Siege will be the first City-Builder game to feature a full 3D engine. This allows the player both to view the map from as far away as the genre requires, and to walk around, moving about the city and fields you created as if you were there.
