'Gumshoe Online' - Beta Test Sign-up

by Rainier on March 24, 2004 @ 2:49 a.m. PST

Gumshoe Online is a point and click adventure game for the PC that transports the player back to the corrupt gangster-ridden streets of 1930's America. Played using a standard Internet browser, Gumshoe is available to anyone with an Internet connection. Read more for details ...

The game has been designed to appeal to Internet users, adventure gamers and crime fans alike. Compelling storylines and mind-bending puzzles recreate the 'film noir' feel of movies such as L.A. Confidential, The Maltese Falcon and Chinatown.

Iwan Roberts, co-founder of Hiding Buffalo, said, "The classic detective story is not one which has been seen in video games too often, but it's enormously popular in movies, books and on TV. Combining this genre with the accessibility of the Internet will give people all over the world the chance to take part in a new and exciting form of gaming."

Tony Horne, lead artist said "This is a very exciting time for the company, Gumshoe online is our first title. As we move into the beta-testing phase the feedback provided by our testers will be incredibly helpful in putting the final touches to the game".

Testing will begin within the next few weeks; if you'd like to join the adventure, please register at the Gumshoe Online website.

It would be a crime not to take part....
