'Deadlands' (PS2/Xbox/PC) Announced - Screens

by Rainier on April 26, 2004 @ 2:07 a.m. PDT

Deadlands is a 3rd person action horror title, which sees a murdered gunslinger, brought back to life through possession by an evil spirit. Known only as the Stranger, he seeks retribution against the Seven Sins, a merciless gang of criminals who have entered into a terrible pact with the Reckoners, an evil force from another plane of existence.

Headfirst have secured exclusive, world wide rights to create interactive entertainment titles based around this highly desirable property and its plethora of expansions. Deadlands, scheduled to be completed on all platfoms in Summer 2005, will be the first title available in this exciting new franchise.

Using multi-platform, ground breaking game creation technology produced over the last two years and funded by significant external investment. Headfirst are now in an excellent position to develop a range of first class, multi-sku products over the next few years.

"With the acquisition of Deadlands in addition to our Call of Cthulhu IP, Headfirst have taken another major step towards our long term objectives. " said Mike Woodroffe, Managing Director, Headfirst Productions "The world of Deadlands represents ideal content to show off our new technology."

At E3 (2004), Headfirst will be actively seeking a forward thinking publisher to form a long-term partnership so as to best maximise the potential of their technology and intellectual property across all platforms. They will be demonstrating their 'work in progress', Deadlands, a third person action adventure set in the twisted and horrific world of the Weird West. For more information, please contact Mike Woodroffe.
