Please make sure that you have the latest version of Directx installed on your computer. The most recent version at the time this file was written is Directx9. You will find a version of Directx9 that can be installed on your PC on the game's CD-ROM in the DirectX folder. It is recommended to close any running application before launching the game so that all resources can be made available for it.
III. 3D VIDEO CARDS
Chaos League uses Direct3D. Many 3D video cards are compatible with this mode. However, performance can widely vary depending on the quality of the drivers installed.
The latest version of DirectX, DirectX9, is available on the game's CD. Its installation is normally offered during the installation of the game. Should you need to re-install DirectX9 later, launch the DXSETUP.EXE which is located in the DirectX folder of the Chaos League CD-ROM.
Please also make sure you have the latest version of your video drivers installed. Card manufacturers often update their drivers and it is possible to download updates on the manufacturer's website.
IV. SOUND CARDS
You have the possibility to choose which driver you want to use when playing Chaos League. If your sound card supports hardware acceleration, we recommend that you activate it. As for video cards, try to update your sound drivers on a regular basis.
