The action-RTS PC game entitled King Arthur: Pendragon Cronicles takes us back to the heroic epic of the founder King Arthur, whose figure is lost in the mist of time. The choice of topic was inspired by the King Arthur film produced by Jerry Buckheimer coming out soon. The game is created in European cooperation (using GarageGames' Torque Engine), the game design is provided by Game Consulting, while the artistic and programming part is done by a group of professionals of veteran developers of Spore Games. The 3D action RTS have some additional RPG elements, and the player`s quest is to unify the British regions which were separated. The players have to struggle against the Saxons, Picts and some barbarian tribes devastating the British land and some mythical creatures (giants, elementals etc.) with the leadership of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and with the help of their troops. The game with a hero-centered approach to King Arthur and his knights guides us through the British regions of the time in an epic storytelling, and fulfilling all the tasks and getting hold of the 13 artifacts of Britannia you become the King of Britain, the King of kings (Highking - King of Kings).

The game is divided into two organic parts; in the very detailed outdoor fields we have to fulfill several tasks like winning the barbarian tribes and mythical creatures through several battles or drawing them on your side, while in the second half of the game we have to trace the thirteen artifacts in mystical places, forgotten caves and underground catacombs.

During their adventures Arthur and his knights with the help of some powerful magical objects or the actively operating Stonehenge dimension gates get to the Otherworld as well, where they have to struggle with the servants of powerful gods and various creatures of Celtic mythology.

The engine of the game is the highly modified Torque engine (Starsiege Tribes series), which is powered by the new lighting method, by Synopse Gaming, the AI technology is provided by AI-Implant (PSI-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy/Midway), the technology responsible for the marvelous flora is provided by SpeedtreeRT, first appearing in The Dark Age of Camelot: Trial of Atlantis recently.

In the Dark Ages, during the 6th century, the son of Uther Pendragon rise to take back his land from the invaders. He is young and not of noble birth, but he is the one who took Excalibur from the rock.

The strong Saxons have taken the East of the country, holding Roman Forts. Above the Adrian Wall the savage Picts are controling the land and attacking anyone comes in it. The Irish pirates are trying to take their share and began the invasion of the West coast.
