'Game Developers Conference' Registration Now Open

The 20th annual Game Developers Conference (GDC) is returning to the place where it developed into the annual networking and educational must-attend experience that it is today, San Jose Convention Center, on March 20-24, 2006. This year's theme will focus on “What's Next” and will seek to answer questions surrounding next-generation development, complex production and budgeting issues, strategic targeting of mass markets, and collaborations with the film industry.

More than 12,000 game industry professionals will convene during the GDC, the world's largest event solely dedicated to the advancement of resources, tools and technologies used to create interactive games.

“GDC is primed to address key technical, inspirational, and business questions right in the middle of next generation platform releases,” said Jamil Moledina, GDC director. “Plus, we've built GDC 2006 to provide a more interactive forum to everyone in the game industry looking to get a peek around the corner, to see what's next for games.”

This week long event will also feature the GDC Expo, GDC Mobile, the Serious Games Summit GDC, the Independent Games Festival, the Game Developers Choice Awards, and Game Connection. Through these initiatives and the conference itself, attendees will gain access to the people, technologies and tools that will help define what's next for the interactive entertainment industry.

The speaker line up, session descriptions and registration are all available online at www.gdconf.com. Press registration is also currently open.
