Content creation is one of the hottest new aspects of video game play. MTV's Video Mods (music videos created from video game characters) and game titles like The Sims and Rollercoaster Tycoon allow players to create worlds of their own. What if they could create movies?
What would movies be like if you could replace humans with apes? Would Rose jump for a banana instead of Jack in Titanic? Would Humphrey Bogart's famous Casablanca quote change to, "Here's looking at you, chimp"? Would magic be quite the same in Harry Ape and the Sorcerer's Jungle?
This is the idea that Ape Escape 3 for Sony PlayStation 2 brings to reality.
