by Rainier on June 17, 2005 @ 8:39 a.m. PDT

The German software publisher dtp has acquired the rights to the Crazy Frog from the licensing agency Wallaroo. In the range of a platform comprehensive game concept dtp will cover the GBA sector. The product will be released during the upcoming Christmas season and supported by various merchandising and PR activities.

The Crazy Frog also known as The Annoying Thing has become a cultural phenomenon. The character has reached peaks of international music charts and generated millions of mobile downloads.

"The Crazy Frog is one of the most popular licenses of today's entertainment market. It is an exciting project to apply all our developing and publishing experience", says dtp's CEO Thomas Baur.

According to Stefan Heinemann, Wallaroo's Licensing Director, "Choosing dtp as a competent partner was an obvious decision to make. dtp's quality and flexibility perfectly suit to continue Crazy Frog's success in the range of the platform comprehensive game concept."

dtp is one of the oldest established German multi-media publishing houses, with continuous growth and a strong market position.

More details will be released at a later date.
