'Stargate SG-1: The Alliance' (PS2/Xbox/PC) - 3 New Screens

by Rainier on Aug. 26, 2005 @ 2:00 a.m. PDT

Stargate SG-1: The Alliance will be an action-based game playable in the first- or third- person perspective. Depending on the mission, there will be other tasks that have elements of team tactics, puzzle-solving and stealth. First and foremost, you will never walk alone – your team will be there to look after you, but you will also have to look after them, so it differs from most "straight" shooters.

The game will focus on challenging and innovative team-play in single as well as in multiplayer modes. The player will control one member of the team in each mission, with the remaining three being either taken over by AI or controlled by other players in co-op.

Players will visit strikingly beautiful and occasionally bizarre alien worlds at various levels of technological advancement.

Throughout the missions several vehicles, cannons and other devices can be utilized. Every team member will have specific abilities, adding game elements like stealth, hacking, deciphering of runes or use of melee weapons.
